MEGA Industries, A trusted name for engineered solutions in Microwave waveguide and coax technology since 1989 announces the acquisition of New Hampshire based Micro Communications, Inc (MCI), a subsidiary of Rymsa RF, based in Madrid, Spain and part of the Tryo Technologies Group. This acquisition represents another phase of MEGA’s market and product expansion plan. MCI, recognized for its innovative solutions in the Broadcast industry, will gain MEGA direct access to an important global market segment.
With the additional engineering and production staff resulting from this merger, the combined company will be able to enhance its leadership position in the Broadcast market where it will provide innovative RF equipment that allows terrestrial, over-the-air TV, and radio broadcasters to deliver reliable service. “Adding MCI to the MEGA family is a great win as we progress on our strategic expansion plans and will bring together two leaders in RF/Microwave transmission and waveguide product and solutions.”, says Peter Anania, President of MEGA Industries. This is the second acquisition for MEGA in 2014, which in March acquired the MicrolabFXR dummy load product line along with Intellectual property.
MCI’s current customers will continue to be served by the combined MEGA/MCI staff and there will be no disruptions to any orders in process. “This merger will put in place one of the broadest product portfolios in the Waveguide space,” Says Peter Matthews, CEO, MEGA Industries, ‘and the solutions delivered by the merged company will continue to carry both MEGA and MCI brands. As part of this agreement, Rymsa RF/Tryo Technologies and MEGA/MCI will continue to work together as a strategic alliance to identify other global opportunities of mutual value including defense and space.
