Microwave Techniques LLC today announced the expansion of its Gorham, Maine based manufacturing facility. The 21,360 square feet of production space adds to Microwave Techniques growing operational capabilities.
The new addition to the Microwave Techniques campus, located at 29 Sanford Drive, Gorham, Maine, is conveniently located directly across the street from the Gorham facility’s operational headquarters at 28 Sanford Drive.
The expansion is fueled by the continued growth we’ve seen in recent years. The addition of the manufacturing floor and supplemental offices at 29 Sanford Drive will allow for even more growth. It will also enable us to successfully meet the rapidly growing demand for our products and better serve our customers around the world.
The building will provide a dual benefit for Microwave Techniques, as it increases manufacturing capacity and will provide more offices, with more overall space, for the team. The new facility will house the sales, engineering, administration, paint, quality control, final inspection and shipping departments.
Microwave Techniques: Built for Growth & Expansion
The facility expansion comes on the heels of a 2020 merger between Mega Industries and Ferrite Microwave Technologies. The merger resulted in the creation of the Microwave Techniques group.
Previously, Mega Industries expanded the facility at 28 Sanford Drive with an addition to the existing building. The 2013 addition allowed for more production space, an updated shipping and receiving area, a test laboratory, and the addition of an ISO Class 5 Clean to support the design and manufacture of ultra-high vacuum microwave components.
