GORHAM, Maine – Mega Industries, LLC, global leader in high-power waveguide, will attend the 2019 North American Particle Accelerator Conference (NAPAC2019) in Lansing, Michigan.
The North American Particle Accelerator Conference brings together several hundred experts in all fields of accelerator science and technology. The conference, hosted by Michigan State University and the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB), is the largest domestic particle accelerator conference. It covers the entire spectrum of accelerator science and technology topics. It is co-sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Physical Society.
In the past, MEGA worked closely with FRIB by supplying hundreds of meters of coaxial transmission lines in 2015. The installation of the coax transmission lines signaled a successful completion of Phase 1 of a $2.6 million-dollar contract awarded by FRIB to MEGA.
MEGA also developed and manufactured bellows assemblies for several of FRIB’s components, which includes: QWR 90 Degree RF Elbows with QWR Warm Transitions, 3-Way Power Combiners, Quarter Wave Resonators and Baseline Fundamental Mode Power Couplers.
The relationship between MEGA and FRIB is a valued partnership, and the MEGA team is pleased to return to the facility in September 2019.
The conference will be held on September 1-6, 2019 at the Lansing Center.
