Topic: RF Measurement Techniques for High-Power Passive Components
Location: Microwave Techniques LLC (Gorham, ME)
Dates: October 16 & 17, 2023
Measurement and calibration techniques can vary widely in the RF industry and often lead to miscommunication of technical data as well as difficulty in verifying performance. Join the experts in High Power RF Solutions at their Gorham, Maine facility for an in depth look at the various measurement techniques, calibration options, and tuning for performance.
Including both classroom and lab time, as well as a facility tour, we will discuss such topics as:
• Network Analyzer Types and VNA Measurement Techniques
• Calibration Issues & Options: SSL, TRL, Waveguide, Type-N, etc.
• Measuring & Tuning Single Components versus Systems or Sub-Systems
• VNA Measurements compared to High-Power Test Results
As part of the demonstration, you will observe the testing of Combiners, Splitters, Couplers, as well as the upgraded bias-controlled circulator and the new MT Auto-Tuner, along with more basic components such as waveguide straights, miters, and flex to demonstrate the variables that arise when different testing methods or calibration processes are utilized.
Summer is the perfect time to visit Vacationland! Join industry peers for this interactive workshop which will include open discussions as well as lab demonstrations and a lovely dinner on Portland’s waterfront.
